Your Lithops lesliei has arrived! These fascinating "living stones" will thrive in your home for many years with the right care.

  • Light: They adore abundant, filtered sunlight. Instead of harsh midday sun, morning or late afternoon sun, or a bright spot behind a sheer curtain, is ideal.
  • Watering: Lithops are extremely sensitive to overwatering. NEVER water during their dormant periods in winter and summer. Watering should generally occur during their active growth periods in spring and autumn, only when the soil is completely dry. When new leaves emerge, avoid watering until the old leaves have completely shriveled.
  • Soil: Use a very well-draining mix specifically formulated for cacti and succulents. Prefer a soil mixture rich in pumice, perlite, or lava rock.
  • Pot: Choose a pot with drainage holes that is not too deep. Their roots do not go very deep.
